A Polícia Federal aumentou o número de ações de combate aos crimes ambientais em 2021. Foram 695 operações e 646 prisões; um aumento de 55% e 14%, respectivamente, em relação a 2020.
As ações envolvem o combate ao garimpo ilegal, desmatamento, queimadas e invasão de terras protegidas.
